Jones painted many of these bright and colorful landscapes around the sunny and craggy hills of
this picturesque medieval town. Séperacèdes is located just outside Cabris in the Alpes Maritimes
off the south of France. Cabris was the hometown of her close friend CélineTabary, and where Jones
and Pierre-Noël married in 1953. She originally visited the town in 1937 during her first year of
studies in Paris, and returned numerous times over a period of some 50 years.
