law who worked after World War I at
Dayton Wright Airplane Company.

Signed, “Montgomery of Alamein,” to “Dear Mr. Salisbury” [probably painter Frank O.
Salisbury], expressing admiration and thanks for the proofs of his pictures, sending one
copy signed [not present], stating that he had heard of him while traveling in the U.S.,
reporting his impressions of Americans, and declining an invitation. 2 pages, 8vo, personal
stationery, written on the recto and verso of a single sheet; horizontal fold.
