This inaugural issue of “Our Life” contains a cover story about “The Eartha Kitt Scandal,”
among other gossip. The Prophet Jones of Detroit, whose hand is valued at $18,900 (of
“bling”) is also featured. Danky, 4665 reports Our Life publishing up to the beginning of
1955.There were many attempts during the 1950’s and 1960’s to tap into the market that
Jet and other smaller publications aimed at.

located by Danky or OCLC.
