Condition B+: minor restoration and overpainting at edges and in corners; bottom margin trimmed.
One of at least two similar images designed by the shipping company Norddeutscher Lloyd Bremen
featuring the globe, international shipping routes and four of her vessels. This version shows the routes
to Asia and Australia, while one of the others shows Transatlantic routes. Although it is impossible to
say exactly which ships are depicted, the four-stacker in the upper left is most likely the
Kaiser Wilhelm
der Grosse.
These images were often issued in wooden frames with the shipping company’s name
imprinted on the wood. This is the English version.
