A rare set of posters from the early days of World War II, highlighting the contributions of Britain’s
colonies to the war effort. In many ways an extension of the campaign run by the Empire Marketing
Board in the late 1920s and early 1930s, these posters were designed by some of Britain’s best known
and most recognized poster artists. This group contains works by Frederick Herrick, Dora Batty, Kurt
Henderson, C.W. Bacon, Fred Taylor, Clive Gardiner and H.S. Williamson.
