A pair of volumes, with a total of 74 photographs. Each comprised of 37 photographs depicting
people and architecture of Egypt, including the Pyramids, Palestine, Jerusalem, and several holy sites.
Albumen prints, the images measuring approximately 4
x9 inches (12.1x15.9 to
15.9x22.9 cm.), and the reverse, all but 3 with Frith’s signature in the negative and some with his
plate number in the negative, and with his letterpress credit, caption, and date, on mount recto.
Folios (2), gilt-lettered green leather; scattered foxing, some contents loose; all edges gilt.
