The first biography of José de Anchieta (1534-1597), a Jesuit from the Canary Islands who went as a missionary to Brazil. He was a founder of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and was made a saint in 2014.This biography was based on a manuscript by fellow Jesuit Pedro Rodríguez.
