This handsome volume was produced to celebrate the groundbreaking of the National American Indian Memorial overlooking NewYork Harbor, a monument which was never completed. It documents a 1909 gathering of tribal leaders on the Little Bighorn River in Montana featuring sev- eral survivors of the Custer battle. Milton R.
