Greenaway,” a receipt to publisher Cassell, Petter & Galpin acknowledging receipt of £7 “for the drawings mentioned in account and entire copyright of same.” 1 page, oblong 8vo, pale blue paper; signature written across revenue stamp, folds, docketing verso. [London],“Monday” no year; 22 March 1879 [200/300] The letter:“I could give no details of my Life—as I dislike so anything of that sort published or any- thing in the style of interviewing. I have always refused. I refused the Pall Mall, so they made one up, which was quite incorrect. If it were only just relating to my drawings, I should be happy to give you any information . . . .”
