Condition B+: repaired tears, creases and minor tape staining in margins; restoration along minor repaired tears and abrasions in image; creases and abrasions along vertical and horizontal folds. Mounted on Japan. Hohlwein was a passionate equestrian and hunter and many of his earliest commissions were associated with those pastimes. These include an exquisite, small series of images he designed for the tailor Hermann Scherrer (See Sale 2099 Lot 102) and this rare , early image for a firm that manu­ factured hats for hunting, shooting and touring.
