The afternoon session featured Photographic Literature from the Edelstone library (see top illustration), which comprised nearly 300 books showcasing the work of modernist photographers, with a special focus on fine gravure printing.

Edelstone and other auction highlights included an exceedingly rare pro-Communist poster by John Heartfield featuring a photograph by Ivan Hevesy, in a previously unrecorded large format, 1932, which sold for $11,500 (second illustration); Bill Brandt's Londres de Nuit, first edition of his scarcest book, Paris, London and New York, 1938, $5,060 (third illustration); a consecutive run of 161 issues of Aperture magazine, New York, 1952-2002, $5,980 (fourth illustration); and Daido Moriyama, Goodbye Photography, first edition, signed, Tokyo, 1972, $6,900 (see final illustration).
