The Photographic Literature & Photographs auction contained many rare works by noted artists, as well as ephemeral items, such as a complete 50 issue run of the celebrated publication Visionaire, 1991-2007, which sold for $24,000 (see top illustration).
Other highlights included Vernacular, a picture archive containing more than 20,000 abstract and architectural photographs, 1950s-1970s, $24,000 (second illustration); Mr. and Mrs. Woodman by Man Ray, with 27 original photographs, one of 50 numbered copies, signed, The Netherlands, 1970, $16,800 (third illustration); Paris, 80 Photographies de Moï Ver by Moï Ver, first edition, one of 100 numbered copies, Paris, 1931, $15,600 (fourth illustration); and Numbers 1, 2 and 3 of Provoke, Tokyo, 1968-69, $12,000 (last illustration).
