Thomas Hutchins' A New Map of the Western Parts of Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and North Carolina; Comprehending the River Ohio [etc.], large 3-sheet engraved case map in 32 sections, London, 1778, with manuscript additions circa 1790, sold on June 19, 2008 for a record of $168,000.



Mortier and Jaillot's Le Neptune Francois, bound with Cartes Marines a l’Usage des Armees du Roy de la Grande Bretagne, first edition, Paris and Amsterdam, 1693, sold on December 6, 2007 for a record of $96,000.



John Cowley's A New and Correct Map of the Province of North Carolina drawn from the Original of Col. Mosely’s Survey, a two-sheet pen and ink manuscript map, London, 1737, sold on June 14, 2007 for $360,000.



Martin Waldseemueller, Tabula Terre Nove, double-page wood-engraved map, Strasbourg, 1513, the first map of America to appear in an atlas, sold on June 19, 2003 for $83,900.



John Speed, The Theatre of the Empire of Great Britain... Together with a Prospect of the Most Famous Parts of the World, third edition, London, 1676, with fine maps of American interest. Sold on December 11, 2003 for $79,500.



Andre Thevet, Le Nouveau Monde Descouvert et Illustre de Nostre Temps, Paris, 1581, sold on June 17, 2004 for $11,500.



Hartmann Schedel, "Secunda etas Mundi," double-page wood-engraved world map from the Latin language edition of the "Nuremberg Chronicle," Nuremberg, 1493, sold on December 12, 2002 for $13,800.
