(FIRE ENGINES) A pair of typological albums with more than 160 photographs depicting fire engines and apparatus manufactured by two different companies: Alexis and American Marsh. The first with approximately 40 photographs and the second with 125, each depicting various fire engines, which are mostly parked in front of their local fire stations, ranging from New York to Nebraska. Silver (150) and chromogenic (17) prints, approximately 3 1/2x5 inches (8.9x12.7 cm.), and slightly smaller, mounted with photo corners; most with meticulous handwritten notations on recto or verso identifying the chassis year, tank size, gallons-per-minute, and location. 4tos, black leatherette and black boards, with ring bindings. 1930s-70
