253 •(CYANOTYPE) Handmade album containing 19 beautiful botanical photograms, each printed in cyanotype, that was apparently created by Florence Mapes, of Rochester, New York.
The images are luscious, well-composed abstractions of plant life; one is noted "from our yard" alongside found foliage and leaves from other locations, including Highland Park. Cyanotypes, the images measuring 9 inches (22.9 cm.) square, three with locations noted, in pencil, on verso. 4to, self-wrappers; with Mapes' name and address, in pencil, on verso of the cover sheet; ties. Circa 1900
