As a Senior Specialist, Sylvie has a wide-ranging role in the department. She catalogues material for the department's seven annual sales, and executes much of the scholarly research and writing that goes into the catalogues. She also handles matters of authentication, and works closely with various foundations, scholars, institutions and estates, in addition to communicating with both consignors and buyers on a day-to-day basis. Sylvie is always eager to speak with clients leading up to an auction and to help them acquire wonderful works of art. She has contributed to numerous specialty themed auctions, including The Armory Show at 100 (November 2013) and James A. M. Whistler: Fine Prints from a Private Collection (April 2015).
In her free time, Sylvie enjoys playing guitar and French horn and visiting the city's many museums. She holds a BA in Philosophy from Denison University.
