Along with taking in and cataloging new material at Swann, Keavy Handley-Byrne conducts research, liaises with clients, and designs the installation of exhibitions; she can often be found deciphering nineteenth-century script on photographic prints and examining tiny text in daguerreotypes. She has taken an active role in acquiring consignments valued at over $100,000.
Keavy previously worked for photographer Steve McCurry, as well as ClampArt and the Richard Avedon Foundation. Keavy has participated as a portfolio reviewer with powerHouse books and continues to make personal photographs. Keavy is an avid reader and writer, and enjoys volunteering with LGBTQIA+ organizations, studying french, and knitting.
Keavy graduated magna cum laude from Purchase College, State University of New York and holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in photography.
