A classic early “Rock ‘N Roll”—Rhythm
and Blues revue. When the producers of shows
this early put them together, they really had no
idea at all what constituted “Rock ‘N Roll.”
This revue for example starred Duke
Ellington’s orchestra and Lionel Hampton, on
the same stage with Rock ‘N Roll stars like
The Clovers, and Ruth Brown. It also starred
“Little Buck,” Mantan Moreland, and the
Delta Rhythm Boys.
