“WILL FRANCE HAVE AN ARCHITECTURAL REVOLUTION?”
30
●
(ARCHITECTS.) LE CORBUSIER. Typed Letter Signed, with a few holograph
corrections, to Marie-Anne Febvre, in French, approving of her plans for a series of radio
interviews, stating that he knew Dumay from Radio-Jeunesse in Vichy, stating that he is
notifying Boll of the collaboration, complementing her on her sensitive articles, agreeing
with her concerning Renoir: “Will France have an architectural revolution?”, discussing
the working title, stating that he has informed Boll that she would report on “Charte
d’Athenes” at Renoir’s, promising that copies of the relevant letters would be sent to her
from the Board of Directors, suggesting the possibility of using her talents as painter to
illustrate the drawbacks and advantages of living in a house of “Radiant City” or “city-gar-
den” design, conveying his wife’s apologies for her reception, and approving of her
paintings: “very close to what I consider the truth.” 2 pages, 4to, written on the recto and
verso of a single sheet; folds. With the original envelope.
