Mounted on period linen. The Islamic Karimov brothers ran a popular and prolific printing house in Kazan (the capital of Tatarstan) which published school books, literature, folk tales, fiction, religious literature and more. The brothers also opened up the city’s first Islamic library. These attractive lithographs display fine Tatar calligraphy, and present verses from the Qur’an.
