The prints offered here were collected over time by Isador Sy Seidman, also a photographer, who owned the Se- idman Photo Service. Though neither were members, both Hine and Seidman frequented the Photo League, New York’s go-to destination for photography-related events. It is not surprising that Hine’s work attracted the attention of Seidman, who enjoyed a lifelong passion for collecting photographs of New York City.
