NewYork and Paris, 1905 [400/600] Joseph-Anténor Firmin (1850-1911) was a Haitian politician and academic, generally considered to be the first anthropologist of African descent; he helped launch the Pan-African movement. In this book, he predicted that the American president Theodore Roosevelt would invade Haiti.
