Ink on paper, each about 11 x 8 inches, two of them colored in watercolor, with captions in ink or pencil. Np, circa 1970s [300/400] These charming cartoons all depict African-Americans in the military, and all are signed “Greenfield” or “M Greenfield.” The consignor thinks they may have been done for Encore, the African-American newsmagazine launched in 1972, although we have been unable to verify. The markings on two of them strongly suggest that they were done for publication.
