Gomez describes Jesuit universities and gives biographies of important Jesuits. Cristobal Gomez (1610-1680) was a Spanish Jesuit who served as a missionary in Paraguay beginning in 1632; while there he was professor of philosophy and theology at Cordove duTucuman, and served as Provincial in the last four years of his life.
