A collection of 7 late 19th-century portraits of Indian Princes, featuring Nizam Mahboob Ali Khan of Hyderabad. Circa 1870s-circa 1910.

This lot features a cabinet card portrait of "Maboob," photographed by Lala Deen Daya circa 1882 (the leading Indian photographer of his day) and apparently autographed by him on the back. Hyderabad was the most important Indian princely state, and Nizam one of the world's richest men.
Other subjects include: a carte-de-visite identified as "Raja 'Donk' Dharaware, circa 1870, by Harichand Chintamon; a photo-mechanical postcard of Maharaja Jagatjit Singh of Kapurthala, circa 1910; an unidentified prince with a cane, circa 1900; a carte-de-visite of Maharana Sajjan Singh of Mewar/Udaipur, circa 1870s; Portrait of Maharana Fateh Singh of Mewar/Udaipur, circa 1890; Portrait of Maharana Bhupal/Bhopal Singh of Mewar/Udaipur posed with a visiting unidentified prince and their courtiers, circa 1880s
