A personal archive of approximately 160 snapshots depicting the Vietnam War from the point of view of Mark S. Reinhardt of the 9th Infantry Division. 1969.

Chromogenic and silver prints (roughly equal)
A compelling visual archive conveying the daily life of a U.S. soldier during the Vietnam War. The captions identify locations such as Ðong Tâm and Mekong River as well as his close friends, such as "Hillbilly" Watson, and local figures and scenes. Reinhardt captures a powerful range of emotional presence both in his images of the locals and his fellow solders through this collection of snapshots.

Oblong 8vo, blue leatherette album titled "The Views of Vietnam," with 78 photographs, Reinhardt's draft card, and a typed list of prayers, including some handwritten captions, presumably by Reinhardt, in ink on the album sheets as well as verso of various photos. The remaining photographs are loose; the archive also includes a film cannister.
The images ranging from 3 1/8 in. (7.9 cm.) square to 4 1/2 x 3 in. (11.4 x 7.6 cm.) and one 7 1/4 x 9 3/8 in. (18.4 x 23.8 cm.), the sheets slightly larger
