WITH--A silver print from the Lunar Orbiter Project depicting in detail the surface of the Moon., Mission III, frame No. 203, 1967 * Apollo 16, landscape, 1972.

The Voyager probes were launched in 1977, with their main objective being to compare the characteristics of Jupiter and Saturn, such as their atmospheres, magnetic fields, particle environments, ring systems, and moons. Famously, each probe carries a golden record, loaded with sounds of Earth to share with whomever may encounter it. The records include directions to find Earth as well as digital information that could be converted into photographs. Voyager I also made the iconic "Pale Blue Dot" photograph of Earth from 4 billion miles away. Both probes remain the furthest made-made objects from Earth.
