  • Notes: a time sheet for an exploring expedition artist. Agassiz (1807-73) important naturalist who contributed greatly to the study and classification of fish and fossils of America, researched and wrote the ichthyology section of Wilkes's Narrative of the U. S. Exploring Expedition. Richard's original drawings for that section are located in the United States National Museum Library.
