Christ on the Mount of Olives.
Pen and brown ink and wash over black chalk on cream laid paper. 280x210 mm; 11 1/8x8> AF3/8> inches. With a study of Roman soldiers gambling for Christ's robe in pen and brown ink and purple wash, verso. Inscribed "esquisse de... dal Tintoretto" in ink, lower right recto, and "da Allesandro Maganzi" in ink, verso. Ex-collection H. W. Fichter, Frankfurt.
Both are drawn after works by Tintoretto and likely date from around 1572-76, when Maganza was working in Venice and studying paintings by contemporary masters.
