- Notes: first edition. The prints represent stages of a ceremony that had once been performed for warriors about to go on raiding parties, but later evolved into a rite for holistic health. The images were originally created as sand paintings by Jeff King, a 75-year-old Navajo singer who performed the rite. These silkscreens are faithful reproductions of his images. with--accompanying text booklet with explanatory text by Campbell and Oakes. 4to, wrappers. Bollingen Series I.
