  • Notes: The woodcut is captioned in verse: "Washington--Victory doth thy Trumpets sound, Who are with Laurals cover'd round!" On verso is a proposal for publishing the Boston Magazine. The almanac leaves include key dates from the Revolution. We are reminded that on the 4th of July, "Independence declared, 1776." Drake 3337; Evans 18164.
