  • Notes: Sullivan, who had just recently taken command of the American forces in Quebec, is depicted in a 3/4-length portrait with a large spear in his right hand. Sullivan later gained greater fame at the Battle of Rhode Island and for his expedition against the Iroquois. Cresswell 194.
