E350/500 Only a handful of different vues d'optique treat American subjects. This is a particularly interesting example in that it relates to the Revolutionary War and New York City. As is usual with American subject vues, the city pictured bears no resemblance to the city supposedly portrayed - this New York is a fanciful representation with a profusion of three-story buildings clustered in small groups.
