Heseltine (Lugt 1508, verso), his sale Sotheby's, London, June 4, 1935, lot 360. Trimmed on or just inside the plate mark. A good, dark impression of this extremely scarce print.
Lugt notes Richard Ford's significant collection of prints by Meldolla and Parmigianino among other Italian mannerists. We have not found another impression at auction in the past 20 years. Bartsch 11.
