Warhol began creating films in 1963, and the medium remained a significant part of his artistic output through the remainder of his career. Seeking to capture the gritty reality of the culture surrounding him, Warhol produced moving pictures confronting a broad array of themes. The current work is a photographic still from "Three," starring Walter Dainwood, Ondine and Gerald Malanga, addressing sexuality in the mid-1960s.
