Four octavo volumes bound together, including:

1) Planetae, sive Planetarum Collegium, Paris: Apud Carolam Guillard, 1553.

2) De Mundi Sphaeri, Paris: Apud Guilielmum Cavellat, 1552, woodcut text illustrations.

3) Phaenomena, sive Aerie Ephemerides, Paris: Ex officina Reginaldi Calderii & Claudii eius filii, 1546.

4) Explicatio et Usus Coelestis Ephemeridis, Paris: Apud Jacobum Kerver, [1555], woodcut printer's device with large unicorn to title page; all 4 titles bound together in full period limp parchment; contents very good in a neat contemporary binding; 6 3/8 x 4 1/4 in.

French Renaissance polymath, Mizauld was a trained physician with wide-ranging interests that included botany, meteorology, medicine, astronomy & astrology. The present sammelband represents his astronomical output and includes the beautifully illustrated De Mundi Sphaera, along with poetry in praise of the elegance of the heavens, and other informative works.
