Chiaroscuro woodcut printed in green, greenish brown and black on cream laid paper, circa 1525. 286x475 mm; 11 1/4x18 3/4 inches. Trimmed on or just inside the black border line, losses lower right corner and upper left edge with restorations, mounted on laid paper. A good impression of this extremely scarce, early color print.
We have found only one other impression at auction in the past 20 years. Bartsch 28.
