ARMONDO TESTA (1917-1992) ARANCIATA MARTINAZZI. Circa 1960.

55x40 3/4 inches. IGAP, Rome.
Condition A: creasing in margins.
After serving as a photographer with the Italian Air Force during World War II, Testa founded his own advertising agency in Torino, in 1946, which quickly became (and still is) one of the largest in Italy. He designed the poster for the Olympic games in Rome in 1960 and was awarded the first gold medal in the Warsaw Biennale for commercial art in 1971. A master of the image, he always finds an idea that can be read without words. Here, it is clear: the essence of the contents of the bottle appears wrapped around the outside.
rel. Publicita Italiana, Antonio Valeri, Ed. del Sole 24 ore, Milano 1986, p. 99.
