Limited edition, two folio volumes; one of 225 copies on handmade Batchelor paper from a total of 245; English text printed in red and black based on Thomas Shelton's 1612 translation; woodcut initials and borders by W.M. Quick and George H. Ford after designs by Louise Powell; bound in full uniform dark green morocco by W.H. Smith & Son, gilt-lettered, all edges uncut (a couple of minor knicks at lower edges); 17 x 12 in.

[Together with] The original order form and a 1927 memo signed by Hornby asking the buyer, L.W. Greenwood, which type of binding he would prefer, and thanking him for the purchase.

Printed in Hornby's new Ptolemy type, the Quixote was the Ashendene Press's largest and most expensive publishing production.
