The cachet, a reproduction of a photograph showing the crew at Ellington Air Force Base in Houston, TX on April 29, 1972, which is the date on which, and the place at which, the 8-cent blue eagle embossed stamp was cancelled. The second, Gene Cernan, Ron Evans, and Harrison Schmitt ("H.H. Schmitt"). The cachet, showing the Apollo 17 mission emblem. 8-cent "A Decade of Achievement" postage stamp cancelled in Houston on the date of the command module splashdown: December 19, 1972.
