  • Condition: This portfolio is in excellent condition. The platinum palladium prints are lush and rich, with a beautiful range of velvety middle and dark tones. Including work by a range of important and well-known photographers such as Helmut Newton, Herb Ritts, Steve Meisel, Ruth Bernhard, and many others.

The image areas are bright, clean, and neat, and without apparent flaw. The two issues noted below are confined to the margins and noted for the purposes of a detailed report.

The Meisel evidences a bit of warming in the margins, perhaps a product of the printing process. There is also a soft handling crease in the lower margin, not impacting the image area.

The Newton shows an isolated line of discoloration at the far left edge of the margin, not at all impacting the image. It is minor and unobtrusive.

With the colophon as well as the clamshell case, both of which are neat, clean, and bright. The portfolio does not include two of the photographs, but is overall a sumptuous and gorgeous production.
