- Notes: first collected edition of Baker's Latin medical tracts, together with the second edition of his 1767 work on colic (Garrison-Morton 2096). The Latin writings comprise his 1755 lecture on the mind-body relation (Hunter & Macalpine, page 399-401), 1761 Harveian oration, and 1764 account on influenza and dysentery. Baker (1723-1809) was the personal physician of King George III and Queen Charlotte. The front blank is inscribed by his son: "With Sir F[rederick Francis] Baker's Compliments."
