BAKST, LÉON. Two Autograph Letters Signed, to art critic Armand Dayot or the Secretariat of the Salon d'Automne 1913, in French, originally sent together to Dayot. The first, expressing regret that he cannot be in Paris to jury the 1913 Autumn Salon, offering to serve on the jury from abroad, requesting to examine (if he is permitted to serve) the canvas submitted by Dayot's daughter, and including a formal request letter to the Salon Secretariat [present]. The second, requesting Magdelaine Dayot's canvas 2538. Together 3 pages. 8vo, "Hôtel de l'Europe" stationary; horizontal fold. Venice, 23 October 1913
