- Notes: Third edition of an 1805 collection of writings by a surgeon with the East-India Company in Bengal concerning what he believed to be the influence of the sun and moon on the course of fevers. The volume reprints the text of books he previously published in Calcutta in 1784 and 1794, and Edinburgh in 1790 and 1791, and 2 journal articles from the 1794 and 1803 Transactions of the Asiatic Society. Front blank inscribed: "For the Right Hnble Sir John Sinclair Bart. from the Author with Respectful Compliments." Sinclair (1754-1835) was a Scottish politician, agricultural reformer, and architect of the 1791-99 Statistical Account of Scotland in 21 volumes.
