An Italian bond poster featuring a long column of soldiers trudging up a snow-covered mountain, dragging their artillery behind them. Their footsteps leave behind them the message "subscribe." In depicting the cold, desolate, laborious yet dedicated life of a soldier Barchi clearly is playing to the guilt of the Italian populace who are not directly involved in the war effort.
