- Notes: first edition of a rare book on the virtues of precious stones. Bausch was the municipal physician of Schweinfurt, connected to the Academy of the Curious of Nature, of which he was president and founder. This work is a pair of treatises on the bloodstone and the eaglestone, with an emphasis on their medicinal properties. In addition, he debunked current beliefs surrounding the magical and mystical attributes to these stones, such as bloodstone's power to win victory, freeze hot water, and preserve crops from hail or locusts. Sinkankas 486 (not seen); Thorndike VII, 265; Krivatsy 958.
