  • Notes: first edition. The Blossom was dispatched to the Bering Strait by the Admiralty as a relief ship for the Parry and Franklin expeditions, though it did not rendezvous with either. Beechey''s account is notable for its descriptions of the northwest coast of Alaska as well as for content relating to Pitcairn Island, Hawaii, and California.
