Among his fel-lowships and grants: New York Foundation for Arts Fellowship, 1994; Millay Colony Residency, 1992; Pollock-Krasner Foundation, 1991-92; Edward Albee Foundation Residency, 1990; Sarah Cooper-Hewitt Prize, Cooper Union, 1981.
