  • Condition: Berenice Abbott's photograph of the Grand Opera House is in nearly excellent condition. The print displays exquisite details and an impressive range of mid-tones.

Under close examination, we can notice an exceedingly faint narrow trace of red pencil on the upper right quadrant in the sky, but this is quite difficult to discern. Otherwise, the surface of the print is neat and clean and doesn't evidence any inconsistencies under raking light.

Its narrow margins and the verso are also clean and neat.

A lovely image of Abbott's Changing New York project.
