Silver print, the image measuring 18 7/8x15 inches (58.1x43.5 cm.), the mount 30x24 inches (76.2x61 cm.), with Abbott's block-lettered signature in pencil on mount recto, and her Abbott/Graphics stamp, and a Museum of the City of New York/ "Changing New York" Federal Art Project stamp, on mount verso.

  • Condition: Abbott's photograph of the Manhattan Bridge Walkway, 1936; printed 1980s is in excellent condition. The print is bright and contrasty, with a beautiful range of tonal value, and its surface is flawless.

    As visible on online catalogue, there is a small black spec in the lower left quadrant, but it doesn't appear to be on the surface of the print, but in the negative.

    The print has no margins, and its edges are clean and neat.

    The mount, both recto and verso, is clean and neat, with Abbott's block-lettered signature in pencil on mount recto, and her Abbott/Graphics stamp, and a Museum of the City of New York/ "Changing New York" Federal Art Project stamp, on mount verso.

    The work is framed and the mount verso evidences framing tape around its edges.
